Every number links its document
Every figure in a brief, and every figure on a page we build for you, carries the record it came from. A number we cannot link does not go in. That is the whole reason an opponent cannot wave your material away.
The voter pages are neutral
bcballot.ca takes no client, endorses no one and accepts no political money. A voter hub built for a race lists every candidate on the same terms, in the order the election authority lists them.
A candidate site is the candidate's, and says so in its authorization line. The two are separate and a reader can tell which they are on.
Your pages carry your words
Campaign copy comes out of one interview and stays in your voice. We do not invent a voice for you and we do not run your accounts.
When we get something wrong
Every finding in a brief carries the document behind it, which means you can check any of them and so can a reporter. If one turns out to be wrong, tell us and we correct it, reissue the brief and tell you which other findings drew on the same source.
If the record turns out to be thin, we say so before the work starts and the scope changes. Nobody in this business promises there is nothing to find, so we will: sometimes there is nothing to find, and you should not pay for a long report about it.
What we will not do
- Attack copy.
- Social accounts.
- Donor lists.
- Polling and projections.
- Anything we cannot source.
An opponent's record is their votes, linked to the minutes. What you say about those votes is yours to write.
