Message and copy
Know what to say at the door, and have it already written.
What this gets you
- One clear line for each issue that comes up, in the words voters use for it.
- The site, a rack card and a door script that all say the same thing.
- The attacks coming at you, with your answer written before the line is used.
- Copy that reads as though a person wrote it, because a person did.
- Not this
- Committed to responsible, sustainable growth for our community.
- This
- A third of every new building has to be two bedrooms or more, and studios are capped at 30 percent.
- Not this
- Fighting for fiscal accountability at city hall.
- This
- She asked for the cost of the policy before the vote. The amendment lost 2 to 5, and the minutes say who was on each side.
Invented lines, to show the rule. The left column says nothing a rival could not also say. The right column is a fact with a document behind it.
Where it comes from
Campaign copy comes out of a single interview and stays in the candidate's voice. Print collateral is rewritten against the same rule, and the finished copy is run through a detector before anyone sees it.
The lines an opponent is likely to use come out of the same public record as everything else, which means your answer is ready before it is needed.
What it does not include
Attack copy, and anything about an opponent that is not in the record with a link. Their votes are fair and sourced. What you say about those votes is yours to write.
Price
- Price
